This fruit has origin in the equatorial area. It belongs to the family Anonáceas. It grows in a tropical climate. The plant is a herbaceous giant with an apparent shaft and a height between 3 and 6 meters with a termination of crown of leaves. The bananas come from medium palms that produce the fruits a single time. The air part dies, while the underground system provides new buds.
